Circumstances of Injury:

While on a combat mission in the Bakhmut direction, Mykhailo sustained severe injuries while bravely holding one of the most intense frontlines. His courage and determination helped secure the position against enemy forces.

Diagnosis:

1. Gunshot Wound to the Right Forearm:
   • Blind (non-exit) wound to the middle third of the forearm.
   • Fracture of the right ulna with fragment displacement, severely impairing the functionality of the forearm and hand.
2. Gunshot Wound to the Right Shin:
   • Blind wound to the middle third of the shin.
   • Fracture of the tibia with fragment displacement, causing significant difficulties in weight-bearing and mobility.
3. Closed Fracture of the Left 6th and 7th Ribs:
   • Rib fractures without skin penetration, associated with pain during breathing, restricted chest movement, and potential risk to the pleura.

Clinical Plan:

Metal Osteosynthesis (MOS) of the Tibia:

1. Stabilization of Fracture Fragments:
   • Surgical fixation of the tibial fracture using metal plates, screws, or an intramedullary rod.
   • Restores anatomical alignment and stability for proper healing.
2. Ensuring Load-Bearing Functionality:
   • Provides structural support to the shin to allow early mobilization during recovery.
3. Minimizing Complications:
   • Reduces the risk of fragment displacement, improper healing, and future complications.
