Campaign details
Circumstances of the Injury:
When the bullet hit him, Yurii didn’t immediately feel pain. It felt as if a ball had inflated inside his thigh, and the bleeding began gradually.
Summoning all his strength, Yurii crawled to cover near the farm gate, where his comrades applied a tourniquet and provided first aid. Soon, the pain became excruciating, and dark red blood flowed more intensely. The minutes under the tourniquet felt endless, and for the first time, the worrying thought of a possible amputation crossed his mind.
This event profoundly changed Yurii’s outlook on life. He began to value time spent with his family even more, cherishing every moment with his loved ones.
Diagnosis:
Gunshot wound to the lower third of the right femur, accompanied by bone tissue loss after previous metal osteosynthesis (MOS).
This diagnosis indicates that Yurii’s right leg suffered significant damage due to a gunshot wound, resulting in the loss of a portion of the bone tissue in the lower femur. Previous treatment included stabilizing the bone fragments with metal constructions, but a bone defect remains, requiring further treatment for full recovery.
Clinical Plan:
Bone defect restoration using bioglass.
This advanced treatment involves using bioglass to restore the missing bone tissue. Bioglass offers several key benefits:
- Defect filling: Provides a solid framework for the regeneration of new bone tissue.
- Healing stimulation: Activates the growth of new bone, ensuring integration with existing bone structures.
- Infection prevention: The material’s antibacterial properties reduce the risk of complications.
This modern approach is highly effective in restoring bone integrity and promoting successful healing. With your support, Yurii can overcome this challenge and regain his mobility.
