Circumstances of Injury:

During a combat mission, Oleksandr and his comrades found themselves surrounded. An urgent evacuation order was given, and as they attempted to withdraw, a massive artillery barrage began. One shell exploded nearby, and the blast wave threw Oleksandr into a trench, causing a serious knee injury.

Despite the intense pain, Oleksandr summoned his strength, allowed himself only moments to regroup, and managed to reach the evacuation point.

Diagnosis:

• Patellofemoral arthrosis, Grade I-II.
• Hypertrophy of the medial patellofemoral ligament (MPFL) in the right knee joint.
• Moderate static-dynamic impairments.Injury Details:

  Patellofemoral Arthrosis (Grade I-II):

  • Degenerative-dystrophic damage to the cartilage between the patella (kneecap) and the femur.
  • Grades I-II indicate mild to moderate cartilage deterioration, with intermittent pain and discomfort in the joint.

  Hypertrophy of the Medial Patellofemoral Ligament (MPFL):

  • Enlargement and thickening of the ligament responsible for stabilizing the patella.
  • Often results from overuse or biomechanical disruptions in the knee.

  Moderate Static-Dynamic Impairments:

  • Abnormal load distribution on the joint during standing and movement.
  • Can cause discomfort and increase the risk of further joint degeneration.
