Circumstances of the injury:

While serving on the front line during an assault on enemy positions, I was wounded. The first moments were the hardest—the pain was sharp and overwhelming. Thanks to the swift and professional actions of the medics, I received urgent care.

This experience became both a true test and a life lesson for me. It showed me how fragile human life is and how important it is to value every single moment.

Diagnosis:

Closed chronic injury of the medial meniscus and ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) of the left knee joint.

A “closed” injury means the trauma did not involve an open wound—there was no bleeding or skin break.

The medial meniscus is a piece of cartilage inside the knee that works like a cushion between the bones. It is damaged, which can cause pain, swelling, and episodes where the knee “locks up.”

The ACL, one of the main ligaments that stabilizes the knee, is also injured, making the joint less stable.

Clinical decision:

ACL reconstruction using an autograft, fixed with screws.

This surgery restores the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in the knee, which was torn or severely damaged.
An autograft means the new ligament is created from the patient’s own tissue, usually by taking a tendon from the thigh or another part of the leg.
To secure the graft in place, it is anchored into the bone with special medical screws, ensuring stability as it heals and integrates.
