He was wounded while evacuating his comrades.
Now he is fighting to save and restore his leg.
He was carrying out an evacuation mission — helping others get to safety. At that moment, an enemy FPV drone struck. Now he needs complex medical treatment himself to preserve the function of his leg.
- Date of injury: January 15, 2025
- Type of trauma: blast injury affecting the lower leg
- Main issue: tibial fracture with bone loss and infection
- Current condition: complex ongoing treatment requiring stabilization and bone reconstruction
January 15, 2025 — while evacuating fellow soldiers, he came under attack from an enemy FPV drone.
At the moment he was helping others leave a dangerous area, an explosion occurred. As a result, he sustained a severe injury to his leg.
Despite the situation, the evacuation was completed, and he was then transported to medical care.
After the injury, doctors diagnosed:
- tibial fracture;
- bone tissue loss;
- soft tissue damage;
- infected wound.
This means the injury is complicated not only by the fracture itself, but also by tissue loss and infection, which significantly complicates healing.
Doctors have determined the next necessary stage of treatment:
External fixation with placement of an antibiotic-loaded cement spacer.
This means:
- the bone is stabilized using a specialized external fixation system;
- a spacer containing antibiotics is placed in the area of bone loss;
- this helps control infection and prepare the tissues for further reconstruction.
This is one of several stages in a long treatment process, but it is critically important for recovery.
Why support matters
This case is not just about treating a fracture.
It is a complex process that involves fighting infection, rebuilding bone, and preserving the function of the leg.
Without proper treatment, the risks remain high — complications can stop recovery or severely limit it.
With timely and appropriate care, there is a real chance to gradually restore weight-bearing ability and regain mobility. Your support directly contributes to that recovery.
