Circumstances of Injury:
On August 7, 2023, Oleksandr was stationed at a combat position when he came under sudden enemy fire. During the attack, he sustained severe injuries, and his sole focus became survival and returning home. While fighting to stay alive, Oleksandr realized the profound value of every moment spent with family and loved ones.

Diagnosis:
Mine-explosive trauma (August 7, 2023).
- Gunshot shrapnel injury with a through-and-through wound in the lower third of the right upper arm.
- Comminuted gunshot fracture of the right humerus with displaced fragments and the presence of metallic shrapnel.
- Soft tissue injury to the right thigh.
- Traumatic neuropathy of the right ulnar and radial nerves.
- Blast injury (acoustic barotrauma).
- Status post-metal osteosynthesis (October 12, 2023).
- Consolidating comminuted fracture of the right humerus treated with autograft and Bonalive bone substitute, with fracture and partial migration of the metal implant.
Summary of Injuries:
Right Arm:
The explosion caused a through-and-through wound in the lower third of the humerus, with a comminuted fracture and displaced bone fragments, as well as the presence of metallic shrapnel.
Right Thigh:
Soft tissue gunshot injury.
Right Arm (Nerves):
