Circumstances of the Injury:

Mykola was at his combat position when artillery shelling began. One explosion caused severe injuries: shrapnel damaged his right arm, face, and led to bleeding in his left eye. Initially in a state of shock, Mykola didn’t fully realize the seriousness of his injuries.
This incident changed his outlook on life, making him appreciate the value of each day. He understood the importance of spending time with loved ones and cherishing every moment.

Diagnosis:

Unstable bone callus of the right humerus with external fixation device (AZF) due to a gunshot fracture (March 30, 2024).

This means that following a gunshot fracture of the right humerus, the healing process is still incomplete. The bone fragments have begun to fuse, but the newly forming bone tissue (bone callus) in the fracture area remains weak and insufficiently stable. An external fixation device is being used to stabilize the fracture. This metal frame holds the bone in place externally to ensure proper alignment during the healing process.
